Name the stage before asking about credit
An equity calculation, a broker conversation, and a lender application are different steps. Stonehaven's initial estimate and text follow-up do not involve a hard credit pull. If you continue, ask the specific lender what inquiry it will make and when. Do not interpret an initial conversation as a completed underwriting decision.

Check whether you are requesting information or applying for credit. Review the consent text and the identity of the company receiving your information. Avoid sending a Social Security number through a general inquiry form.
Do not reduce eligibility to a score
A self-reported score is an estimate. Property, income, existing debts, and lender criteria still matter. If you are comparing programs, ask for the conditions behind a stated credit threshold rather than treating a number as approval.
Prepare the next conversation
Use the home equity planning worksheet to organize your assumptions. Leave anything you do not know blank for discussion. The worksheet does not check eligibility or obtain a lender offer. You can request a broker conversation when you are ready to review your estimated home value, mortgage balance, and requested amount. Do not send account numbers or financial documents through a public inquiry form.
Read the source guidance. Provider examples describe that provider only. This guide is educational. A home-secured loan puts the property at risk if repayment fails. Program availability, documentation, costs, and approval depend on the lender and your circumstances.
