Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Stonehaven Lending (“Stonehaven,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information you provide through stonehavencre.com and when you inquire about financing. By using the site or submitting an inquiry, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
When you submit an inquiry form, we collect the information you provide - such as your name, email address, phone number, financing interest, and any details you share about your transaction. We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your browser type and pages visited, to operate and improve the site.
HELOC client application details
If you choose to continue with a HELOC, our separate client application asks for each applicant’s legal name, date of birth, Social Security number, current address and annual W-2 income. The page does not load our advertising pixels or analytics, and it does not save application details in browser storage. Information is sent over HTTPS to a dedicated processing endpoint and delivered to Chris De Leeuw at Stonehaven as a password-protected, encrypted PDF. We do not copy these application details into ordinary website lead forms or advertising events. A temporary encrypted copy supports reliable delivery and is removed by a daily cleanup after 48 hours; a receipt without the applicant details is removed by the daily cleanup after 30 days. Email copies may be retained for the financing request and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Please do not send SSNs or dates of birth through other contact forms, ordinary email or text.
Inquiry source information
To understand how inquiries reach us, we may keep the initial page path, referring website, limited campaign information and the last commercial article visited in browser session storage. If you submit a form, this context may accompany your inquiry in our customer-service systems. We do not add arbitrary URL parameters or financial details to this source record. This source record is disabled when your browser sends Global Privacy Control and on sensitive Family housing pages. Existing privacy exclusions on those pages remain in place.
How we use information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, evaluate and discuss financing, communicate with you about your request, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the services you request - for example, with service providers who help us operate our business and process loan inquiries, and as required by law. Any such providers are expected to protect your information and use it only for the services they perform for us.
Data security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you share. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard your information appropriately.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided by contacting us. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Analytics and advertising technologies
We may use analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and the OpenAI pixel for ChatGPT Ads) to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising performance. These tools may set cookies or collect device identifiers. The OpenAI pixel measures page visits and accepted lead submissions. Its automatic advanced matching may use hashed contact information to match advertising interactions. We do not pass the financial details you submit through our forms to advertising platforms. You can limit these technologies through your browser settings and the ad-preference controls those platforms provide.
